About the role

This a full time role for a chiller / refrigeration engineer at cross-group working within the UK. The engineer will be responsible for providing preventative and reactive service and maintenance in commercial and industrial refrigeration, fruit ripening and industrial temperature control.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in Service, Maintenance of Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration plants.
  • Level 3 NVQ Certificate in installing and commissioning refrigeration OR
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in servicing and maintaining refrigeration

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Good working knowledge of refrigeration controls and electrical systems
  • Safe handling of refrigerants and adherence to F-Gas regulations
  • Strong understanding of health & safety practices within industrial environments
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues

Desirable Experience

Key responsibilities

Service, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems

Fault finding and diagnostics on complex systems

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs

Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulation

Complete service reports and documentation accurately

Build strong working relationships with clients

To take part in the 24/7 call out rota
